I grew up in Kansas, graduated from El Dorado High School, attended college and eventually got my Life & Health insurance license. I was a top rookie agent for American Amicable Life Insurance Company in 1980.
I moved to Southern California and lived there from 1981 to 1986 while I worked in the insurance industry. I then moved to Idaho in 1987 and opened Agency Software, Inc. (ASI) in 1988, a software company that provides automation solutions for independent property & casualty insurance agencies.I sold ASI in 1993. ASI is still in business today. I moved to Portland Oregon in 1994 and started Whitem Group, a business providing automated risk surveys to insurance agents. I opened Hole In One, Inc. in 1996, a business specializing in hole-in-one golf fundraisers. I sold it in 1998. I moved to Phoenix AZ in 1999. I flipped houses (buy and sell home renovations) from 2000 to 2007. I was GM for Long Realty from 2007 to 2009. I opened 24/7 Sports fundraising in 2009. 24/7 Sports helped school sports teams raise money through fundraisers. I opened Arizona Charities Foundation (ACF) in 2011. ACF helped Arizona non-profits raise money for their cause. I then expanded ACF into Tucson in 2015 with a branch office.
