Hello, hi, welcome.

My first radio gig was midnight to dawn on Radio Windy in Wellington, New Zealand - Land of the Long Flat Vowel.

Working my way up and down the radio dial culminated in the creation and launch of the comedy phenomenon known as "The Top Marks", Kennedy & Staufer on Triple M 89FM in Auckland, New Zealand and later on KZFM Melbourne, Australia.

It lasted an hilarious, crazy, roller coaster three and half years until the inevitable happened and we went our separate ways. It would be 25 years before we would reunite.

I exited radio in '94 and launched VoiceWorks Voice Productions, New Zealand's first voice agency. It was an immediate hit with talent and advertising agencies. in '96 I launched the world's first voice agency website featuring streaming audio of the voice artists' demos.

And then I took a big gamble, opening the Sydney office to proclaim VoiceWorks "The First Multinational Voice Agency On The Planet". By 2001 it was time to accept that the gamble hadn't paid off.

Returning to radio as presenter of the WSFM Sydney Summer Breakfast Show, followed by two years as presenter of the Weekend Breakfast Show, I consistently rated #1 in the target 25 - 54 demographic.

In early 2006 I began the challenging transition from Music to Talk Radio, initially as a researcher, writer, interviewer and presenter on-camera and on-mic at 2GB Digital, quickly moving on to Executive Producer and Talk Host on Radio 2GB Sydney.

In recent years I've performed various Guest Host roles:

"New Day Australia" Radio 2UE Sydney, broadcasting to an 18 station network covering Australia's east coast

RadioLIVE broadcasting nationwide to New Zealand.

Canberra's 2CC Breakfast Show and 2CA Morning Show broadcasting to Australia's capital.

And then in 2014 the unthinkable happened.

A quarter of a century after The Top Marks Breakfast Show stormed to #1 in Auckland, Mediaworks reunited the two Marks for a six week gig, nationwide on The Sound Network Breakfast Show. That really was "a blast from the past" and a fun rerun for a frantic few weeks..

Radio is in your blood forever, but there is life after radio.

Today I work alongside my beautiful wife in our successful audio production business, BlackBox Voice Productions and life is sweet.

Thanks for dropping by and remember...
