I am the head coding teacher at Lomie G. Heard Elementary School, Nevada's premier coding and robotics magnet school in the Clark County School District. As an educator for over 28 years, I have experience in all grade levels, primarily teaching 4th and 5th grade. I spent 16 years as a digital coach helping teachers integrate technology into their curriculum. In my current position I teach coding to students in grades K-5. We work in different coding environments such as Scratch, AR/VR, Python, HTML/CSS, and Unreal Engine 4. I am an avid learner and reader. I believe that all students can learn. I am passionate about empowering students and teachers to take charge of their own learning.
