Mark Egan

Since 1983 Mark Egan has been a driving force in the health and wellness industry. For over 35 years he has effectively developed, owned and operated a successful chain of natural food and vitamin stores. Mark describes it like this: "For many years I was the go-to person in our chain of stores for any and all nutritional information. I learned a lot! I had many customers commenting as to how they would love to have access to my decades of knowledge. Ask Mr. Vitamin (AMV) was born from that basic desire; to help people with what I know. AMV started out as a simple Question & Answer column in my stores monthly newsletter. It soon grew to a published column in health and fitness magazines.

My writing style is as I would describe "just like my personality". Each and every article and column I write is handled as if that person is standing in my store aisle and we are having an honest conversation about a specific supplement or nutritional concept. Given the nature of my expertise and having to deal with clients and customers personal health related issues, relevancy, honesty and integrity is always paramount.

My working knowledge of vitamins, minerals, herbs, nutrient formulations and the physiological impact these can have on ones body and ultimately lifestyle is holistic and extensive. I not only have a head knowledge of these concepts but I have developed a manner and method of clearly,plainly and simply communicating these (sometimes complicated) concepts through written word.
