Mark Frissora is a Fortune 300 executive with over 40 years of experience leading global public and private companies. He served as President and CEO of Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: CZR) from 2015 to 2019 and previously held leadership roles as Chairman and CEO of Hertz Global Holdings (NYSE: HTZ) from 2006 to 2014 and Tenneco Automotive (NYSE: TEN) from 2000 to 2006.
With a proven 20-year track record, Frissora has led transformative growth through both organic initiatives and mergers and acquisitions. He’s overseen the global expansion of companies with over 41,000 employees and consistently delivered shareholder value, exceeding Wall Street expectations 92% of the time during his leadership. His accomplishments include leading two IPOs and the successful turnaround of Caesars Entertainment from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
At Caesars, Frissora restructured the company, driving a 930 basis point improvement in EBITDA and re-listing the company on NASDAQ within 2.5 years. He expanded Caesars into new markets and prioritized customer experience and employee retention.
As CEO of Hertz, Frissora transformed the company into a global leader with a diverse brand portfolio, completing key acquisitions such as Donlen, Inc., and Dollar Thrifty. Under his leadership, Hertz went public in 2006 and delivered 3.6x shareholder value by 2014.
Earlier in his career, Frissora led Tenneco Automotive’s growth into emerging markets. He also held leadership positions at General Electric, Phillips Lighting, and Aeroquip.
Frissora has served on multiple boards, including as Chairman of Arencibia and Goodwrx. He has held key board roles with Aptiv plc and Walgreens Boots Alliance, among others. From 2019 to 2020, he advised Apollo Global Management, supporting investment strategies.
Recognized for his leadership, Frissora was named one of the 25 Most Influential Business Travel Executives and received the Oliver R. Grace Award for cancer research advancement. He holds a BA from Ohio State University and has completed executive programs at Babson College and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
