Markia Ashmon

My name is Markia Ashmon I am a current North Carolina Central University Student. I am a transfer student from the University of Phoenix this is my Junior year in the Business program. I selected business as my major because I have always been told that I have the drive and ability to be a great leader. I have worked for the City of Durham going on four years now and my goal is to advance within the city once I have obtained my degree. If not advancing within my department my goal is to operate one of my aunts daycare facilities. I am also the eldest out of three and I have one child who is two years old. My main priority is to finish up my last three semesters strong so that I can be finished with my bachelor's program.My family is my drive for me to complete school. For me to be the eldest out of three children and also having a son I have to stay strong minded and be the best example possible to show my family that no matter where you come from or what you start off with you can make it anywhere as long as you can see it. If you believe it you can be it!
