Markitta Stafford

I am currently a senior at the University of Memphis, striving to make an impact in the sport industry. My current major, Sport Leisure an Management, has allowed me to expand my knowledge on many different areas throughout the sport industry, such as: sales, public relations, and marketing. Since I became interested in pursuing a degree in sports, I have volunteered at several different sporting events and camps. As listed on my profile I have volunteered with the Nike Football Training, Super Bowl Host Committee, NCAA Final Four, 2013 NBA All Star Jam, and also the local Boys and Girls Club. These experiences have allowed me to have an inside look on what it takes to run a successful event and how important communication is throughout this industry. Once I graduate from the University of Memphis in 2014, I am planning on going to graduate school to get my masters in Marketing. My goal in life is to be able to do Sport Marketing/Sales for a prominent sports team or agency. I have the necessary will power to obtain my goals and am excited for all of life's endeavors.
