Mark Jickells

Hi, my name is Mark Jickells otherwise known as Jick or Jicks by my friends. I live in the City of Hereford in the County of Herefordshire amid the Welsh & English borders.

Coming from a farming and military family I was shown the outdoors and have a keen interest in long distance hiking, wild camping, open water swimming, poetry, nature photography and communing with it. Indeed, with the 'Rhythm Outdoors' never far away I will sometimes dance in the moment inspired, as I am, by the world I find myself in.

I am a founding member and or Director of the 'Turquoise Sound Company' an events company literally formed out of observing our resident Kingfisher Alcedo Atthis. Music has always been at the core of my being much like the nature and its where I see my purpose in life creating fantastic gatherings that celebrate the best of an adventurous way of being in music or outdoors.

Many of my current thoughts are born out of an experience that could have damaged my health irreversibly. I had a blast but wisdom tells me that to relinquish behaviors habitual in a toxic way is definitely the key to ascending your limitations. Fundamentally, health is a means of opening up pathways that inspire me to explore more of the world in my midst. Indeed, with increased health and energy I have more of a capacity to handle and receive expansive experiences. I am more alert and can respond to opportunities for personal growth that may arise. Of course all this is an adventure and I remind myself that life is constant flux.
