Mark J. Stewart is a lawyer based in Toronto, Canada. Graduating with a bachelor of laws from City University London (UK), he also holds a master of arts from the University of Ottawa and a bachelor of arts from the University of Guelph. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2016 and has interests in civil and commercial litigation and constitutional and administrative law.

Before pursuing legal studies, Mark was a Communications Officer at a large bank and a legislative aide to two members of the Canadian parliament. He has also worked as an English language instructor in Tokyo, Japan.

A twenty-plus year survivor of a cancer named osteosarcoma, Mark is passionate about cancer activism and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada. Along with this work, he also volunteers with the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and is the Chair of the Ontario Survivors Task Force, a committee of the Canadian Task Force on Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer, a national organization that aims to unite cancer-related physicians, survivors and policy-makers.

In the past Mark has also been a volunteer guest speaker and media spokesperson for the Terry Fox Foundation as well as a civilian instructor with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. In his spare time enjoys reading, personal fitness and watching baseball.
