"... no teaching can be taught that will relieve spiritual travelers from working out with effort and anxiety their own paths through the unique circumstances of their lives toward the identification of their individual selves with God." Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled

"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." - William Ernest Henley .

I asked God to let me experience all of life and little did I know the paths I would follow in that journey. I am thankful for the good and the bad, the trials and the suffering and disappointments as well as the peaks and highs. If I died today, I am happy and complete, I have been very lucky. I hope to leave this world a little better for having stopped by here. My next adventure may hold something entirely different!

"You know a dream is like a river Ever changin' as it flows And a dreamer's just a vessel That must follow where it goes Trying to learn from what's behind you And never knowing what's in store Makes each day a constant battle Just to stay between the shores...and I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry Like a bird upon the wind These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination If I never try So I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry Too many times we stand aside And let the waters slip away 'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow Has now become today So don't you sit upon the shoreline And say you're satisfied Choose to chance the rapids And dare to dance the tide...yes I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry Like a bird upon the wind These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination If I never try So I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry There's bound to be rough waters And I know I'll take some falls But with the good Lord as my captain I can make it through them all...yes I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry Like a bird upon the wind These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination If I never try So I will sail my vessel 'Til the river run
