Mark Molyneux

I am a Barclays Director responsible for Group Storage, Virtualization, and Public Cloud Operations. Barclays operates in over 50 countries, providing financial services to more than 48 million customers. The majority of these services are underpinned by the infrastructure services and solutions provided by my group. We are critical to how Barclay’s customers experience our world-class services.

I am a strong senior leader with expertise in strategic technology decisions, financial management, people development background, and 20 years’ experience managing globally diverse teams. My management style is open and collaborative, bringing out the best in highly technical and culturally diverse teams, currently leading 163 staff, and 50 MSPs spanning UK, India, Lithuania, US any many others. High performance culture underpins everything in my leadership ethos. Driven to success with a demonstrated ability to deliver programmes of work on time to budget, and skilled in Technology Operations, Programmes, and People Management. Allied to this is ownership and extensive experience in managing significant operational and change budgets; currently £78.1m operating budget, and £27m change / £5.2m P&L budget. Adaptable to high-levels of change in organisations, I am able to function strongly throughout and lead from the front. A proven communicator at all levels; I am skilled at translating the needs of the customer into tangible solutions. Demonstrable ability to balance day-to-day demands against the strategic big picture. Possessing humour, diplomacy, strong leadership and team building skills; motivating others to achieve goals.
