Earned a BA in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Westmont College in 1978. Completed a MA in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in 1981. Completed graduate coursework in Philosophy at CSULB from 1980-1982; completed further graduate work in Philosophy at USC from 1982- 1989. Taught Philosophy as an adjunct instructor at Moorpark College (and elsewhere from 1989- 1999. Hired as a full time Instructor in Philosophy at LA Mission College in 1996. Earned tenure in 2000. Became Director of the PACE Program at LA Mission in 2000 and served in that capacity until 2012. Served as Director of the Honors Program from 1999-2009. Served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Honors Transfer Council of California from 2000- 2003. Attained the rank, Professor of Philosophy at LA Mission in fall 2010. Serve as faculty advisor for the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Gamma Eta chapter, 1999- present. Served as District Senator for the Academic Senate, 2006- 2012. Served as Chair of the Institutional Effectiveness Comittee, 2003- 2005. Served on the Educational Planning Committee, 2006- 2011. Currently, Chair of the Social Sciences Department at LA Mission.
