Mark Russell
Mark Russell is a visionary and entrepreneur with a really sore back!
Born in Mt View CA, in the heart of Silicon Valley, entrepreneur Mark Russell spent his early years immersed and surrounded in the technology center of the world. His father, (a Berkley mathematician, team member of North American’s Space and Information Systems Division, and Hewlett Packard’s Personal Computers Research Labs) impressed on Mark just how special computers were, and how they would one day change the world. He also took consideratble steps in teaching Mark the values of following the truthful path in everything he did.
Years later Mark’s adventurous (and likely rebellious) side pulled him away from his roots and led him into the hands-on thrilling/dangerous world of urban arboriculture. Yeah…. Mark was climbing trees and making bunches of money as he ran his tree service for the next nine years.
However, somewhere around 2005 the thrill of trees started to wane. Money and fast cars were fun, but he found them an empty solution and he began to feel that there was something more he should be doing in life. After traveling to many third world countries, a concern for people and following the truthful path began to fill his heart and displace his chase for money and success.
In May of 2010, after a hard day of physical labor moving rock to rebuild a home of a Hatian widow, he found himself discussing this struggle in his heart with a friend on the trip. After laying out his struggle of chasing money vs. pursuing purpose, his friend insightfully encouraged Mark by saying the obvious,,, “It looks like you have some choices to make.”
Fearing the unknown and filled with uncertainty Mark came to a decision point.
He had heard the truth clearly………“It’s time” and he finally decided to commit.
Returning to the states, he sold off his tree equipment to scale back fixed expenses and started did small jobs here and there as he laid the framework for SayDo.com.
Will SayDo fly? Mark sure hopes so. There are a lot of people in the world who it will help.
We hope you think so too!
