Mark Sauter

I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and will always be a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan. I attended and played Division I Soccer at the University of Rhode Island. I returned to Ohio to attend law school at the University of Cincinnati, where I graduated cum laude as a member of the Law Review in 2010. Also, in 2010, I was admitted to the bar in the state of Massachusetts.

I currently serve as an Honors Attorney within the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the General Counsel's Honors Attorney Program. In this position, over the course of two years, I rotate between four legal offices within the Department and gain extensive experience in numerous practice areas including litigation, administrative law, procurement law, immigration law, enforcement law, and national security law.

I currently live in Washington DC with my fiance, Leah. We love living on Capitol Hill, one of DC's best neighborhoods filled with restaurants, bars, unique shops, and Eastern Market. We'll be married September 2, 2012 in Boston.
