A father to two great kids - Hannah and Jack - and husband for 18 years to Erin, our family loves spending time together camping, hiking, swimming and travelling.

Beyond my familly, my passion is technology and learning. My time at Royal Roads completing my Master's Degree gave me a platform to explore using technology in my classroom and how that influences how my students learn. Then with my experience utilizing Apple tech in my teaching practice, Apple gave me further opportunities when I became an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2011.

Now I want a chance to take what I've learned and explore beyond my school and district - how is technology used elsewhere? how can that impact my teaching practice? what can I learn from other colleagues?

But beyond what I can learn in another school, what can my family and I learn living abroad? We want to explore countries and cultures beyond our own, to learn and grow in our global community.
