Mark SooHoo

Mark has been leading digital strategy efforts for over 15 years and has broad experience in all aspects of digital communications including social media strategies, website production and online advertising.

Prior to Burson-Marsteller, Mark spent almost five years with Edelman in the Middle East and Chicago. He started and oversaw the digital practice for Edelman in the Middle East based in Abu Dhabi, where he developed a full service digital offering including social media strategy, creative services, website production, digital analytics, paid media, search engine optimization, and digital crisis response. In three years the team won multiple industry awards for integrated campaigns blending digital and traditional communication elements.

At Edelman, Mark provided senior digital counsel to clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, corporate, finance, energy, consumer, technology and events for clients such as Humana, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Mubadala, BlackBerry, and LiftMaster.

Before joining Edelman, he developed digital strategies for political campaigns and organizations across the United States for over 10 years. Mark ran online operations at the 2004 and 2008 Republican National Conventions and was deputy eCampaign director for John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.

Mark is a recognized thought leader in online communications and has been a speaker at events including South by Southwest, the Internet Show Middle East, and DIGICONF Dubai. In 2005, he was named a "Rising Star in Politics" by Campaigns and Elections magazine.
