I grew up in Conroe, Texas, in a tight-knit family with my siblings Tom, Missy, and Chris. Basketball was a big part of my early life, and a lot of the discipline, teamwork, and competitiveness I learned on the court shaped the way I lead today. After graduating from Conroe High, I went on to Lon Morris College and then Texas A&M, where I studied business finance.

I’ve spent more than 35 years in the automotive industry, working my way up through dealership operations. I’ve served in leadership roles with Sonic Automotive and other private-cap groups, and eventually became Market President at AutoNation, overseeing 22 franchises and more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Those years taught me that people—not spreadsheets—are what drive this business.

Most recently, I founded Automotive IntelliQence to build smarter software for dealers. I wanted tools that actually support teams and help them understand customers better.

Outside of work, I’m a golfer, a basketball guy at heart, and someone who believes businesses have a responsibility to give back. Supporting the Center for Child Protection in Austin has been meaningful to me.

At the end of the day, I’m someone who believes in leading with integrity, investing in people, and staying curious about where the industry is heading next.
