I'm a writer and an editor. Of the non-fiction variety. I like em-dashes, because they're a cheap and easy way to tighten up your writing. I dislike saracasm, as it's the cheapest—and easiest, and perhaps least funny—way to achieve humour. I'm not a grammar nazi, because most who label themselves as such are a. anal retentive solipsists b. like to belittle others over things they learned in middle school, or c. both. Grammar nazis suck. Hopefully, I do not.
My work has appeared in Fast Forward Weekly, Toronto Life, Exclaim!, Weird Canada, Sharp magazine, Tchad, The Coast, CHARTattack, MSN Entertainment, Alberta Views and more. I am the former music editor of Fast Forward; I am currently the web editor of Jobpostings magazine and a section editor for Toronto is Awesome. Loboto life is the only life.
