I am captivated by new physics and solving challenging problems.
My current objective is to build a nanoscale refrigerator based on rare-earth metal crystals as a postdoctoral research associate in the group of Peter Barker at the University College London. This type of laser refrigeration would lead the way to room temperature levitation of nanometre-sized diamonds and provide a new opportunity to miniaturise quantum technologies based on colour centres in diamonds.
Besides science, I have a long-standing affinity with photography. I commit the majority of my spare time to refining my visual perception and storytelling through media. My enthusiasm for traveling overseas, experiencing different cultures and understanding alternate values, provides an unceasing source of motivation to also share my scientific work with an ever broader audience.
