Mark Rocha

When Mark W Rocha began his career path, he was the first of his entire family to graduate college. His father an immigrant from Colombia, he was the first of his 3 siblings to accomplsh the task.

That first degree was his bachelor's in English from Villanova. From there Mark W Rocha would go on to attain his Master's Degree in English from the University of California. Then he followed that up with a PhD from the University of Southern California. The highest honors he could achieve in English.

From there Mark W Rocha applied his trade. Teaching at a variety of schools, and even traveling abroad to teach in Venezuela. But at this point he decided that administration was his future.

That's when he got the position of Dean at Humboltd State University. And from that stepping stone he was able to become the President of Santiago Canyon College. That led to the California community college circuit.

He was the President of a few schools during this time, including a stint at West Los Angeles Community College. Then he was given the position that he's still currently holding.

At the moment, Mark W Rocha is the President of Pasadena City College. He's happy there, and hopes he can leave a long lasting mark on the curriculum standard and students involved.
