Mark Zabala

If I could make my life some sort of insane cross between Moulin Rouge, Tron, Alice in Wonderland, Blade Runner, Groove, and Snow Crash, I would make it happen. I am getting *very* close.

Music, art and technology are my passions and am constantly working on creative projects. In the '90s, they used to call these types of works "multimedia" but I like to call these types of projects "next level shit." I believe art should be fun and interactive rather than pretentious and boring, but I love pieces that are conceptually groundbreaking. Event design (deco, visuals, lighting) is one of my current passions since I love audiovisual stimulation (both in the "minimal" and the "I think this might be too much" sense). Dance events seem to be the best venue for this kind of thing, and as a result, I end up going out all the time.

Life needs to be filled with adventures, and I thoroughly believe the best adventures take place at night. Socially, I am a very liberal NPR lover, and believe people should be allowed to be as crazy as they want to be as long as they are not causing harm to others. For a short period of time, I worked with Greenpeace as a sustainability/clean-energy activist, and I love the outdoors as much as I love technology (which is probably why Burning Man is so much fun). I don't take myself too seriously, and I'm a huge geek. Make me laugh with your witty, twisted and sarcastic sense of humor and you will win me over.
