She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor, a PSUPA certified Stand Up Paddle Board & SUP Yoga Instructor, TDM Certified Barre Instructor and has kettlebell trained with StrongFirst.

Starr Fitness is a traveling studio where Marla offers personal training to individuals and small groups both in person and virtually. Small Group Fitness classes include Barre, HIIT, HIIT Yoga, Kettlebells, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Barre/Yoga Fusion and also Aqua Aerobics.

Training and classes occur outdoors (socially distant), virtually, in a studio space located in Chicago (Edison Park) and Bensenville.

Start your meditation practice with the program Marla and her co-founder Lorna created, Week of Zen. As an intro to meditation course, each day is focussed on mindfulness meditation. Week of Zen is available for those new to starting their practice or those who are looking for an opportunity to take their practice on the go.

Marla is the Founder & Chef of the popular paleo blog Paleo Porn. She is author of the Paleo cookbook Pigskin Paleo: Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, Paleo Game Day Recipes to Bring the Sports Bar Home and the pending Paleo MX: Authentic Mexican Recipes.

Marla is Executive Producer of the #1 Indie documentary of 2016, Minimalism: A Documentary About The Important Things, currently available on Netflix worldwide.

She is the former Director of Finance for the brand development agency, SPYR, the former Studio Manager for The Dailey Method Elmhurst and RE Cryo + Legit Fit.

Marla enjoys playing football, traveling, practicing yoga, barre, hand-stands, kettlebells, lifting, stand-up paddle boarding and playing board games. She's a creative and an artist with a love for cats.
