Marla Elizabeth

My name is Marla. I'm just your average homemaker. I have been married since 2003 to Evan. We have two beautiful girls who were born in 2008 and 2011. (I'll use their nicknames in the posts...Birdie and Donut) We also have two dogs named Opie and Pepper. The above is an older picture, it is from 2014, but it is one of my favorites of all of us! It also depicts us pretty well - Evan and Donut are two peas in a pod, as are me and Birdie.

Simple answer to why I write - because I like to, and it's fun. It also gives me a chance to just collect my thoughts. Sometimes the days are crazy and it is good to just sit down and reflect back a bit.

Sometimes I feel like I've lost my marbles, and other times I feel like I'm trying to catch my balance on spilled marbles...and I am pretty sure I am not alone in feeling like this. So, I want other people to know they are in fact, not alone in the way they feel about different things or what they are going through. It has been my experience that difficult things in life are not always spoken about, even though countless amount of people have gone through the same thing or feel the same way, and without people sharing - we can feel alone and discouraged. I want to encourage.

I also think my girls will like to read these posts one day. Hopefully they will also find encouragement.
