Marlaina Labrasca
Marlaina Labrasca has held the position of Corporate Assistant with a Boynton Beach, Florida, arts and crafts manufacturing enterprise since January 2010. Marlaina Labrasca’s professional responsibilities draw on an academic background at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Focusing predominately on European artists, she was a member of the school’s Art History Society and graduated magna cum laude. Labrasca has a passion for volunteer work and frequently helps out at a local preschool. She has also volunteered as teacher’s assistant at a tennis camp, teaching the fundamentals of the sport to children aged three to seven. Marlaina Labrasca’s volunteer activities extend to fundraising for the Arlington Heights, Illinois, nonprofit Kids Fight Cancer. The community-based organization was established in 1985 by a man who had survived cancer four times, undergoing radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and bone marrow transplantation. A longtime partner of the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, the organization has expanded its fundraising activities since 2009 to include cancer-focused institutions across America. At home in the kitchen, Marlaina Labrasca enjoys trying out new recipes, including beef stews and other dishes traditional to European cuisine. Her dream is to travel to culinary capitals around the world, learning directly from top chefs. Labrasca travels frequently, particularly throughout the Caribbean. Her favorite island destinations include the Bahamas’ Exuma district and Bermuda. She also frequently travels with her family, visiting relatives in countries such as Austria, Germany, Italy, and France. An avid runner, Marlaina Labrasca was a member of her school’s track and field team during her years at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
