Marlee Olivarez

My name is Marlee Olivarez and I am currently in the Sociology Masters program as a graduate student at UTRGV. My expected graduation date is December 2017. I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Sociology in December 2015. I also graduated with two minors being in Rehabilitative Studies and English. Once I complete my course work for my masters, I plan on continuing my education in hopes of getting a PhD within the next 7-8 years. With these three degrees, I would like to become a Sociology professor. Aside from my education, I am also a mother to my three year old son.
I am currently employed at UTRGV with the Office of Student Involvement as a student Mentor. I enjoy assisting students with any questions they may have.
On my spare time, I enjoy exercising and cooking healthy meals according to my daily macronutrients. I also love to travel when I have the time. I have never been any where out of the country, but would love to.
