At a young age I was drawn to travel, writing and cooking. It was my experience with culturally diverse foods that helped spark my interest in travel, and the ancient stories of the world fostered my love of reading and writing. Being fortunate enough to travel to Canada, Mexico, Japan, Greece and Italy as a teenager influenced my decision to pursue Liberal Studies: History and Culture. My next destination is Egypt, as I have always been attracted to the culture and mythology. I followed that passion with Elementary Arabic courses, and would apply to the Fulbright Program in Egypt if it were not currently suspended.

I aspire to publish Nacho Average Cookbook, a twist on classic dishes from around the world. I have begun a wordpress blog to begin this endeavor (https://nachoaveragecookbook.wordpress.com/), and have completed several recipes thus far (to be published on the blog soon), including Mama's Chili Nachos and Greek Gyro Nachos. I am at my creative peak when outdoors, hiking, kayaking and rock climbing.
