Hi and welcome! I currently live in Maryland with my husband and 12 year old daughter. We have 2 dogs: a whippet named Sara and a chaweenie named Daisy. My blog idea started with a conversation I had with my hubbs about our experience of purchasing our 2nd home (vacation home) in Florida. We are by no means rich, we just were very wise with our money over the years and live in a modest home. Our friends own 5 bedroom homes near us and my family lives in California and we always discussed that we could live that way too but did we really want to be "house poor." We've always had money to do what we've wanted over the last 25 years of marriage and our daughter is a little spoiled. I like to think we just worked it out right. ** you might wonder where the name of my blog comes from: when I first married my husband he would spell his last name for folks by saying "opposite of white chevy."
