With a public leadership background extending more than two decades, Marlise Streitmatter has guided and supported numerous international initiatives, including those that enabled women’s political participation in post-conflict nations. Marlise Streitmatter has also worked on democracy building initiatives and those that boosted economies in developing regions of the globe.

A senior consultant with LMI in Virginia, Ms. Streitmatter previously served as deputy chief of staff with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Managing a Washington, D.C. agency with a budget of nearly $80 billion and more than 50,000 employees, she built and led a committed senior leadership team that oversaw federal funds and grants totaling more than $48 billion, launched a high-speed rail program and set in place distracted driving initiatives.

A particular focus of Ms. Streitmatter with DOT was on safety and innovation. She was also successful in developing and maintaining process and engagement initiatives that significantly increased employee satisfaction.
