Marshall Serff

Hello, I am Marshall Serff from Columbus, Ga, and this is a picture of me and my brother in front of the Oscar Mayer wiener mobile. I was about 11 in this picture, and as you can tell I’m not very happy to be taking this picture. My dad really wanted me and my brother to take a picture with it but we did not want to for some reason so we stood there upset. I remember being mad at my dad for making me take that picture, but later that day he let us roll around in the office chairs of his doctors office and all was forgiven.

My dad is an orthodontist and growing up I would always spend a lot of time at his office. I always enjoyed going to his job and seeing what he did everyday, and I have many fond memories of both of my parents' jobs growing up. My mom is also a doctor so anytime someone in our family was sick or injured my parents would always know how to treat it or would have quick access to someone or something that could treat it. Watching them always being able to provide help to people in need was definitely another reason why I want to pursue a career in the medical field. I am a biology major, and I want to go to dental school like my dad. I am hoping to follow in my parents footsteps to be able to provide the help my parents were able to give me to my family and others in the future.
