Marshall Dornfeld

Marshall Dornfeld’s career with Independent Financial Marketing Group, Inc. began in 2006 when he became the National Director of Managed Business. Charged with overseeing the fee-based advisory business and group benefit programs, Marshall Dornfeld supports the company in providing financial institutions with a variety of investment platforms and products. In addition to his work, Marshall Dornfeld utilizes his more than 25 years of business experience to help run the Kiwanis Club of Greater Westhampton.

As the President of his Kiwanis Club, Marshall Dornfeld works to bring the mission of “changing the world, one child and one community at a time” to life by promoting local programs like Westhampton Beach Key Club, Eastport Key Club, and Westhampton Beach Builder's Club. Marshall Dornfeld also supports the Wildlife Rescue Center located on the East End of Long Island. Marshall Dornfeld graduated from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in 1983.

Subsequently, Marshall Dornfeld fulfilled the roll of tax specialist with Seidman and Seidman. Working in the Financial Services and Real Estate Group at the firm, Marshall Dornfeld gleaned his first professional experience in the financial industry. After three years, Marshall Dornfeld took over as the Vice President at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc., a firm which specialized in an extensive array of investment products and strategies. From 1991to 2006, Marshall Dornfeld held various positions at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. During that time, he headed numerous groups within the company specializing in a range of financial products and services. In addition, Marshall Dornfeld began several new groups to broaden the scope of services provided by the company.
