MARTA GONZÁLEZ FREIRE

I was born in the northwest of Spain (Galicia, 1983). My work is a part of me. I love my work.I have a PhD in Exercise Physiology and 2 masters degrees: MSc in Phyisical Activity and Health, and MSc in Genetics and Cellular Biology. Currently I am living in Baltimore, Maryland, working as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute on Aging (National Institutes of Health). I feel very lucky about being at the NIH. Before arriving to the US I spent seven years of my life working in Madrid where I left part of my friends and of course Galicia, where I was lived until I was twenty-three years old and where my family is living. I can define myself as a "Gallega with morriña". My favorite place in US, Moab,Utah.

My hobbies: triathlon, mountain bike and water sports in general. Reading.
