Who says you have to choose?
Like many artists, I started creating art at a young age. Not with the traditional crayons, pencils or paper, but rather with an oversized box of sidewalk chalk and a two car driveway as my canvas. This love of art took on many forms over the years, from music to dance to edible kitchen creations, until I finally came back to my roots of imaginative graphic art.
This was fostered and sculpted through my time spent at Columbia College Chicago, graduating with a degree in Advertising Art Direction. This degree has been put to the test through advertising competitions and working with the team at Proof Integrated Communications. I continue to learn all that I can, developing not only my art skills but also the strategy that goes into successful work.
I attribute my ability to find the logic in chaos to being raised by a chemist and an engineer - which also contributes to my love of infographics and typography. When not creating, I day dream of being back on a sailboat and of exploring the world with a backpack, a camera & a bag of gummi bears.
When asked to describe what I do, I fondly say "I help bring ideas to life."
