Martin Cooks

I am young business professional with a wide variety of skills, abilities, interest and experiences. I am also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served for two years as a program manager in northern Kenya at a home for children with disabilities. It was, by far, the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life and I don't regret a minute of it.

Currently, I serve as a financial management associate at Palladium International LLC. In this role, I manage a portfolio with contract value of over 90 million USD.

Prior to my time at Palladium I worked as a business development intern at LARE Marketing in Rochester, NY. There, I helped cohere various accounting and financial reporting methods into one software system.

I have worked as a media research analyst at PRIME Research (in Ann Arbor, MI) which is a German based media research firm. In this position, I gave quantitative values to qualitative statements by conducting in-depth media analysis for clients of PRIME Research through their mentions in online and social media mediums. Specific clients that I worked with included General Motors, Volkswagon, and Chrysler.

Before my time in Peace Corps, I worked at the University of Michigan Health Service in the emergency room as a patient services assistant. As one can imagine, it was a highly interesting experience in a fast paced work environment.

Lastly, have experience working at a small dental clinic in my hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

I graduated June 2016 with my MBA from Simon Business School with a concentration in competitive strategy. I also hold degrees from Eastern Michigan University(go Eagles!) from which I earned a Bachelor in Business Administration and Washtenaw Community College (no mascot!) with an Associates in Applied Science.
