Martin Pichlmair

Copenhagen, Denmark

Hi,

As of early 2015 I'm Assistant Professor in the Center for Computer Games Research at ITU Copenhagen.

I made two indie games with Broken Rules and three with studio radiolaris, some of them even won prizes and sold copies. I write about and teach game design with a focus on game prototyping. I wrote more C++ than any other programming language (but I enjoy both, C and C# more than C++).

I advise the Viennese IGDA and the Austria Game Jam and I co-organise conferences and used to help run an academic open-access journal.

In former lives I used to create and exhibit media art all around the globe and I was an assistant professor at the Vienna University of Technology. I also aspired to becoming a writer and a poet and a singer and an astronaut but those careers have not panned out just yet.
