Martin Pow

Martin has recently returned from Mongolia where he was the Deputy Risk and Compliance Leader, responsible for establishing the new Member Firm on behalf of the global Leadership. In addition, Martin was the National Enterprise Risk and Learning Services Leader. He was the first non-Mongolian to receive an “Honorary Doctor” title for his contribution to Mongolian education institutions by the Mongolian National Academy of Governance (Government sponsored University). Martin served mining clients across the Mongolian emerging marketplace, including Rio Tinto’s largest copper mine “Oyu Tolgoi”.

Before transferring to Mongolia in January 2012, Martin was the Canadian Deputy Quality and Risk Leader for the Enterprise Risk Services practice, and responsible for evolving and establishing Risk Management and Quality Improvement. He is also known as a leading Executive “facilitator” for Risk management and Internal Audit in Canada.

As part of his responsibilities, Martin headed up the Canadian Deloitte Learning and Leadership Academy which provides training and facilitation services to clients, and travelled extensively in the Middle East and globally as the Risk Education leader.
