We couldn't live in a more exciting time where technology and creativity are at a true high. With the acceptance of user experience design philosophies entering our daily lives and the low barrier to achieve something amazing with technology. What is not to love.

I am a freelance UX evangelist and web solutionist.

What does it mean to be a UX evangelist?

I bridge the gap between the business heads and the creative and technical team, but I represent the needs of end users and stakeholders. I have the unique ability to problem solve technical implementations from a user scenario perspective while communicating this in such a way that everyone aligns with our common goals. UX is fun and valuable, and I love sharing that experience with everyone.

What is a web solutionist?

The web is really my speciality. I know full well that a good web design is dependant on a good server implementation. I know that third party applications must be integrated fluently. I know that software must be secure, robust and predicable. All these are engulfed in a whole solution. Whether it's UI architecture with MVC or MVVM design practices; JSLint code validation; LESS CSS minification; or Node.js backed multi-client inter-communication. There's very little that I can't do from a solution point of view. I have a proven track record of building those solutions.

What have I worked on?

I've had exciting times working with large and small brands. I've worked for IBM and Ericsson. I've worked on projects for Universal, DHL, Unilever and RTÉ to name a few. I now consult as a web solutionist and UX designer which exposes me to many new technologies and design challenges. I am a developer and designer and very used to working under pressure.

Am I available for hire?

Short answer: probably not. But the longer answer is that I love networking, discussing opportunities and helping out. I wouldn't consider a full-time position, but any opportunity for casual freelance consultancy or even just a friendly chat would be worth while.
