As a cultural critic with an interest in representations of race and gender in media and pop culture I'm practically glued to my laptop. Most of my time I spend online browsing various sites, tweeting interesting links, and blogging about popular discourse in the Netherlands. I'm a co-founder of Mediacate, a media literacy organization, and we host a monthly reading group at the Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam.

I am an avid reader. Some of my favourite writers include Octavia Butler, Toni Morrison, Edith Wharton, James Baldwin, Essex Hemphill, Mikhail Bulgakov.
