Martin is a Malawian registered nurse and midwife with expertise in
maternal, neonatal and child healthcare delivery particularly within the
realm of global surgery. With 4 years of experience, Martin has
contributed significantly to the improvement of healthcare delivery and
access in Malawi, leading critical research projects on neonatal surgical
care and co-authoring studies addressing surgical outcomes. A recent
grant recipient, Martin’s experiences span across research concept
development, grant proposal writing, project management, data collection
and data analysis. Through his current role, Martin has gained additional
experience collaborating and working with various stakeholders and
multidisciplinary teams. His work has been recognized locally and
internationally with invites to present and speak at global conferences.
