Martine Emile is an award-winning filmmaker, cinematographer, and author with over a decade of dedicated practice in the cinematic arts. As the Founder and Executive Director of the Brooklyn East Film Institute, she leverages her deep roots as a lifelong Coney Island resident to bridge the gap between world-class film production and community-based youth education.
A graduate of the Digital Film Academy and the New York Institute of Photography, Martine’s work has been featured in the Coney Island Oral History Project and recognized by festivals such as Shockfest and the B Free Awards. Her mission for 2026 is to establish the Institute as a premier training ground for the next generation of Brooklyn filmmakers, providing them with the technical mastery and industry mentorship required to thrive in the modern cinematic landscape.
