Edwin Martinez

Edwin Javier Martinez is a journalist who has a passion for travel. He is inspired by the different cultures around the world. He is attending Full Sail University in pursuit of a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism, and has a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in History.

His love of different heritages has brought him down a career path where he can report on the societies he’s encountered. Having been raised by two parents who spent two years backpacking, his traveling began at an early age. He currently writes about Orlando in his site edwinmartinezmedia.com . By reporting on the culture of the city he was raised in, Edwin seeks to gain a familiar launching point by which he can establish his writing. His work often covers localized events, venues, and news that is specific to the international city that is Orlando.

Edwin has spent the last seven years working on his profession. After graduating from Florida State University in 2010, he took time off to travel across the world including: England, Italy, France, Nicaragua, Mexico, and all over the Caribbean. Upon his return, he wanted to learn how to document the rich heritage he had seen. This led him to pursue his masters at Full Sail University. After graduating, he is headed to Asia to use his journalism skills to report on the various cultures that are often mistaken as similar.
