Alysse & Debb

MartinisAndLonestars is a compilation of everything happening in the minds of two young women living in Houston, Texas. Debb and Alysse were born and raised in Houston, Texas and are in their late 20s. Both women work a professional 9-5 job in corporate America, but those pencil skirts and button down blouses come off at 5. From different events in Houston, to fashion, new music, to issues with being in your late 20s, all the way to the nitty gritty dealings with the male species, this blog will have it all. Well, at least from the point of view of Debb and Alysse.

Debb is the go-to girl...especially when it is anything to do with fashion. She can tell you what to wear and what bracelets go perfect with that outfit. She pushes the fashion limit and adds a mixture of her own style to what is hot. She can do all black, down to her finger nails, to a pink summer dress all within a night. Always in a new pair of pumps, flats, or wedges...she loves her shoes. With dreams of one day being a stylist for celebrities, Debb settles for styling her friends on their nights out. Anything going on in Houston, Debb knows about it and more than likely has tickets to the event.

Alysse graduates at the beginning of July 2013 from University of Houston - Downtown, with a BA in English. A grammar nazi...obviously! Has a passion for photography, styling hair and doing makeup, reading and anything to do with creative writing. Dreams of being a high school teacher in an inner city school. She has a great love for animals, especially her three 4-legged children Coconut, Maya, & Max. She is covered in tattoos, too many to count. Definitely has her own style, she can go from chic to grunge in .05 seconds. Most associate red lipstick with her because unless she is going to work, school, or church...she is rocking the red lips. Anything vintage or leopard! She hates tanning and tries to avoid the sun at all costs and if you ask her why, her reply will be, "I'm a Vampire."
