Julianne Martin
Julianne is an avid member of the La Jolla Country Day School community. She has been elected to Country Day's Ethics Council on the 2013, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 school years. She continues to serve the student body as a reliable teacher on Teens Responding to AIDS with Caring and Education (TRACE) and as a Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Palette, The Country Day student paper. The communication skills Julianne honed in these activities are also utilized in her role as co-captain of the Mock Trial team, which placed second in San Diego County in 2015.
These endeavors are just the beginning. Julianne has been inducted into the National Chinese Honors Society and High Honors throughout high school. Julianne has also been selected as La Jolla Country Day’s delegate to Girls State in 2015 after being invited to attend the World Link Conference in 2012.
Julianne's impact on these associations has made her standout to her faculty, who've nominated her for the United States Achievement Academy National Social Studies Award, the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists Award of Excellence, the National Student Leadership Conference in Business and Entrepreneurship and the Hands of Peace Conference.
