Adv. Martin J. Williams

Having started out his working life in the Department of Justice in the Durban Criminal Courts, followed by eight years in the South African Police in the Criminal Investigation Division (C.I.D), it was a foregone conclusion that Martin would eventually end up specialising in the practice of Criminal Law.

After leaving the S.A. Police Martin spent a few years as an entrepreneur in the field of furniture manufacturing, followed by several years in the retail sector and entertainment fields. Several years were also spent as an entrepreneur in the Construction and civil engineering sector as well as the car rental industry with the focus on the inbound tourist market. Martin J. Williams has amassed vast experience over the years in a number of fields of expertise as well as dealing with all disciplines and types of personalities.

He has now returned to his original roots and deals in all criminal matters including Murder, Rape, Robbery with Aggravating Circumstances, Fraud, Theft, Organised Crime as a few examples.

Martin is a passionate believer in treating every client the same irrespective of their income level. He undertakes a significant amount of legal aid briefs and those clients are afforded the same dedication as those who are paying market related private rates.

Having spent years as a detective has also served him well in the field of criminal law. He has the expertise to understand investigative and legal processes as well as spending significant amounts of time keeping abreast of forensic science and the law.
