I have 20+ years of working experience in the area of financial consulting and financial management within banks and insurance companies, with other professional qualifications in accounting, arbitration, insurance & risk management, I consider myself a professional finance executive with strong business acumen in mind. I love being a professional accountant and a business person as all my exposure had fostered me as a mature person with high ethical standard in this competitive and complicated commercial world. My professional knowledge could also at times helping the society in charity work.
Yet the other side of me is a musician that I have started since I was young. I started up playing piano as a kid and had also been playing saxophone for so many years, now I am dedicating all my music time focusing on cello playing. From the voicing of cello I have found the sound wave that really resonates with my heart beats, other than this explanation I really can't find other better words to decribe why I love cello so much. I guess the only other reason is that, I have luckily met my cello teacher master Messr. Laurent Perrin when I was back to Hong Kong years ago, who has been teaching me not just cello playing technique but most importantly how to appreciate music and sound. On this I owe Master Perrin so much that I don't address him teacher, but "C-Fu", which means master teacher in Chinese and it is the most respectful way to address a master and a mentor.
So does the blend of a rational accountant and a sentimental musician do any good to me as a person? I do not know as I am still striking the best balance between that both role of me from time to time. But overall I still consider that is a good mix for a person.
Oh, I almost forgot the sport side of me! I am a regular rock climber, a hiker and a golfer too!!!!! Yet I am being very careful when I climb as there is a consistent risk of hurting my fingers, which is the last thing I want as it hinders my cello playing..
