The professional run-down: I'm an English teacher. But not the fancy professor type who shuffles about the halls of illustrious academic institutions. Nothing of the sort. What I do is teach English as a Second Language. That is, just the nuts and bolts of functional speaking and listening. I'm a grammar pusher. A conversational coach. The go-to guy on how to quantify nouns of a non-countable nature.

But that's not why I'm on here. My presence on about.me is another exercise in selling myself in the vast digital realm to which we are all bound. Selling myself as writer/editor/publisher.

All three happening at the same time? Well, at least I hope so. Someday. These are the areas to which I am looking to transition.

Though teaching ESL has provided me challenges that have developed my skill set in unforseen ways, my own grammar included, I feel as though I need to move into something a little more on the creative end of the spectrum.

To that end, I am currently involved in numerous writing projects from historical essays to sci-fi screenplays, and everything in between: blogs, articles, etc. I'm always looking to gain further expertise in these areas - looking to expand my skill set as a writer/editor/publisher.

I'm learning Adobe InDesign, which I hear is a good start.

What I enjoy mostly about this endeavor is that I can honestly say for the first time in my life, or at least for the first time of which I am fully cognizant, I am building something entirely from the ground up. In continuing that effort, I am looking for any opportunities relevant to the areas mentioned above. For those of you who might have any prospects or leads, I invite you to contact me via email.

It should also be known that I enjoy heavy metal guitar work and syntheiszers. But not necessarliy in that order, nor exclusive of one another.
