As head of Slate Property Group, Martin Nussbaum guides a company with commercial and residential properties spanning New York City. Tasked with fostering and managing investment partnerships, Martin Nussbaum secures financing that enables opportunistic acquisition of real estate, as well as adaptive property repositioning and reuse. He additionally oversees ground-up construction projects and coordinates closely with subcontractors to ensure successful completion.

With investments extending to the Los Angeles market, Slate Property Group’s acquisitions over the past decade alone have encompassed more than 3,000 units and represented $4 billion in capital allocations. Asset management professionals actively monitor performance across all holdings and ensure sales and refinancing are pursued with optimal timing. At the same time, in-house legal and accounting teams support workflow and address investor issues as they arise.

Mr. Nussbaum’s corporate footprint includes affiliated companies such as SD Builders and SPG Affordable, with the latter driving low-income and affordable housing projects. Through Abode Residential, he oversees a brokerage that is landlord-operated and handles a full range of real estate leasing and marketing activities.
