Born and raised in Switzerland (Basel area) and educated in the insurance industry. Later on moved to Japan for language/culture studies and work.
Since over 25 years I am heavily involved in japanese swordsmanship and cultural/historical studies concerning Japan, mainly on the Bakumatsu period.

I am leading the only official Keikojô (training group) of Hokushin Ittô-ryû Hyôhô, a classic japanese fencing school, in Switzerland.
