Martin Young

Based in the United Kingdom, Martin Young is Chairman and founder of the Meyado Group. Launched in 1993, Meyado provides specialised investment and management of funds as well as operational, management and financial advice for companies and individuals. Part of Martin’s portfolio focuses on the preparation of IPO’s, due diligence reporting, venture capital investment and Angel Investment opportunities for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Young joined the British Army in 1978 and served in the Blues and Royals. He was awarded Regimental Colours and participated in the Army Sailing Cup during his tenure. His love for sailing, the outdoors and adventure sports is well known and Martin Young regularly leads adventure expeditions to remote locations: training and empowering young people and entrepreneurs into positions of leadership. Meyado expeditions take place each year and go far beyond the usual ‘team building’ exercises. Expeditions and youth development programmes have taken place in Belize, the Yukon and most recently crossing the Andes on horseback.

Start Ups – Martin Young

In 2002, as CEO of Meretec Corporation, a start up tech company looking to commercialise the process of de-zincing galvanised steel in East Chicago. The company was eventually sold to an Australian public company just ahead of the 2008 stock market and credit crash. Martin’s work with start ups, entrepreneurs and investment advice has taken him across the globe. In 2010 he became CEO of Corsair Venture Capital, providing hands on financial resources to start-ups and small companies with big ideas. Young’s specific areas of expertise include, venture capital investment opportunities, Angel Investors, the preparation of due diligence reports and IPO management.
Martin Young resides in the United Kingdom with his wife and four young children. He is actively involved in not-for-profit organisations that benefit military veterans and their families.
