Martyn J Hill

I’m a recruitment leader, entrepreneur and industry contributor with more than 15 years’ experience across mining, resources, trades and technical recruitment.

I currently work with IronMerge People, supporting mining and resources clients across Western Australia with practical, industry-led recruitment solutions and access to experienced blue-collar and technical talent.

I’m also the Founder and CEO of Refereez, a recruitment technology platform designed to modernise reference checking through structured workflows, verification, professional reporting and flexible human-led and automated solutions for employers and recruitment teams.

Through Hill Work Skills, I continue to explore recruitment, workforce and international talent solutions, drawing on my experience across agency recruitment, internal talent acquisition, mobilisation and large-scale workforce projects.

Outside my commercial work, I’m actively involved in supporting the recruitment profession and broader community through volunteering, advocacy, mentoring and professional development. This includes my involvement with the RCSA and volunteering with Project Placed, supporting people as they navigate employment, career transition and their return to the workforce.

My focus is simple: connect good people with good opportunities, improve the way recruitment is delivered, and build practical solutions that make hiring more effective for employers, recruiters and candidates.
