Sometimes you have to surprise yourself to get an epiphany.

Every couple of years I do just that, make a life-altering decision that is exactly the opposite of my expected move—maybe due to my love of change. It's the realizations that follow that true my course in life.

As far as my summation, I'm going to leave that to a former colleague who had this to say about me: "You're brilliant and a bad ass and just an overall joy to be around."

It's enough just to live up to that.
